Lynne's Story
Sarah's Story
I came across RELEASE into Victory Charity, run by Gina around 2014 when in desperate search for support that I could not find through health care professionals, and now have a lifelong friend.
From here I was supported through not only my downs of being a CSA survivor but the ups too. I was involved with peer team events and activities. Attended public speaking events and accessed beneficial training towards my healing journey and helping others on theirs too. A very positive experience and attribute to my life. I continue to thrive mentoring and meeting other victims of this silent crime and making a difference.

Jo's Story
I met Gina in 2022 my mental health support worker gave me her details. At the time I was on a waiting list for another support service, I had been on the list for around six month. I was desperate to meet someone who I could speak to who actually had a real understanding of the traumatic experiences of child sexual abuse. I was also attending a Recovery Program at this time, the group leader was pushing me to move on at their pace, which I was unable to do. As I had no outlet for the emotions and memories which I was desperately trying to process. I was told to ‘put it all behind you’, when in fact I had been trying to do for over forty plus years!

When Gina came to visit me, our first conversations where about Recovery Process, she explained to me that what I was experiencing was ‘normal’ it was such a relief to be seen, I didn’t have to pretend that I was ok anymore.

I have since written a book of poems, which was so cathartic for me, unleashing my hopes, fears and memories has enabled to move on. My ambition now is to become a Mentor for other people in my position, stronger together…lets get talking
